The rankings
Goodfelo’s Auto Care on East Colonial Drive holds a perfect 5.0 rating across 670 reviews, the only shop in this ranking to achieve that mark. The shop has operated since 2022, making it the newest in the field by more than two decades. No warranty terms are published on their site, so ask about coverage when you call. Their review volume and flawless rating combine to earn the top spot.
Ron Jon’s Automotive on South Orange Avenue has served Orlando since 1975, the longest operating history in this ranking by 18 years. The shop holds a 4.9 rating across 956 reviews, the highest review count in the field. No warranty information is published on their site. Nearly five decades of operation and the largest body of customer feedback give this shop the second position.
Rescue Automotive on East Colonial Drive posts a 4.9 rating across 557 reviews. The shop has no published website, and their site would not answer our warranty check, so you will need to call for coverage details. When the shop opened is not published. The combination of rating and review volume places it third.
Maitland Importers Inc on West Church Street has operated since 1993 and holds a 4.9 rating across 424 reviews. The shop’s website suggests a focus on Volvo service. No warranty terms are published on their site, so ask when you call. Three decades of operation and a strong rating earn fourth place.
Discount Auto Center & Mufflers Shop on South Orange Blossom Trail holds a 4.9 rating across 417 reviews. When the shop opened is not published, and no warranty information appears on their site. The shop name suggests exhaust work may be a specialty. Review volume and rating place it fifth in this ranking.
How the field compares
The top three shops are tightly bunched: Goodfelo’s Auto Care leads with 670 reviews at 5.0, Ron Jon’s Automotive holds 956 reviews at 4.9, and Rescue Automotive posts 557 reviews at 4.9. Ron Jon’s Automotive has served Orlando since 1975, giving it nearly five decades more operating history than any competitor in this ranking. The honest caveat is that warranty information is not published for any of these shops, so you will need to ask each one about parts and labor guarantees when you call.
Common questions
Why does Orlando’s climate demand more frequent AC and battery service?
Orlando’s heat and humidity stress air conditioning compressors and evaporators year-round, while afternoon thunderstorms and high temperatures shorten battery life. Most shops in this ranking see AC recharges and battery replacements far more often than mechanics in cooler climates.
Which Orlando shop has the longest track record?
Ron Jon’s Automotive has been in business since 1975, giving it 49 years of operation. Maitland Importers Inc opened in 1993, and Goodfelo’s Auto Care started in 2022. Operating history for Rescue Automotive and Discount Auto Center & Mufflers Shop is not published.
Do any of these shops publish warranty terms I can review before visiting?
No. Goodfelo’s Auto Care, Ron Jon’s Automotive, Maitland Importers Inc, and Discount Auto Center & Mufflers Shop show no warranty information on their sites. Rescue Automotive’s site would not answer our check. Call each shop to ask about parts and labor coverage before you commit to a repair.
Does a shop pay to appear here?
No. Nothing on BestAutoRepair.us is for sale, including placement, position and removal. Every ranking input is public and listed on our methodology page so you can rebuild the list yourself and argue with it.
